Pistyll Rhaeadr is said to be, at 240ft.,  the 'tallest single drop waterfall in the UK' though it has been pointed out that it is not really a single drop! It is, nevertheless, acknowledged to be one of the seven 'natural wonders of Wales'. The second image highlights the remarkable natural arch.

Lake Vrnwy is one of the best known reservoirs in Wales, controversial as the water supplies English rather than Welsh cities. Here I concentrated on a weir which lies below the reservoir's outfall. Llynau Cregennan is a lake in the hills just south of Barmouth and the Mawddach Estuary.

Afon Cwmnantcol is a delightful river which flows through woods in the hills above Llanbedr.
